    Entry Requirement

    All of JBANA language programs are academically oriented and students need to have a high level of motivation to learn Japanese as well as the necessary academic aptitude. As a serious language academy, you will be expected by both faculty and your peers to be conscientious in your studies. JAPAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION NIHONGO ACADEMY is a school where study is required and progress is expected

    The minimum entry requirements differ slightly for each program, but the following base guidelines generally apply to all programs. Please read the program information for program specific details. Please also note that these are the Minimum requirements, the selection process takes these and other factors into consideration.

    • 1. Language Background: With the exception of certain Advanced Japanese Language Programs, or certain start dates such as the commencement dates of the Extension curriculum; prior knowledge of Japanese is not required. However it is usually helpful if you have some experience of studying Japanese or a foreign language before.
    • 2. Documentation required: All students must supply accurate information in the educational background section of the admissions application form and be prepared to submit supporting documentation if requested by JBANA's Admissions Office
    • 3. Minimum Age Requirement: All students must have attained at least grade 6 or higher for starting Japanese Language courses at JBANA facility. There are separate classes for the high school students and the adults. There is no upper age limit. A high level of maturity and self-motivation is expected.
    • 4. Tuition and Fees: All payments towards the Japanese language course are to be paid in full in advance prior to the commencement of the classes.

    Enrollment Procedures

    1. Select the dates/schedule that suits your needs best. Check application deadlines/program availability.
    2. Complete the Admissions Application form
    3. Confirm your position in the language program via a deposit or tuition fee transfer.
    Ensure that you have completed the tuition fee transfer before the deadline. If not, contact Admissions Office

    5. After all tuition is paid, JBANA will send you your Letter of Acceptance and additional documents.
